Itinerary

01
Our representative will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport. You'll then embark on an unforgettable one-hour scenic flight over Nepal’s eastern Himalayan range. Witness the majestic beauty of the world’s highest peaks—including a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of Mt. Everest—and soar past towering summits like Mt. Makalu, creating a panoramic circuit of snow-capped giants. This once-in-a-lifetime experience truly makes you feel as though you're on top of the world.
01
For those unable to trek through the Himalayas, an hour-long scenic flight offers a breathtaking alternative to witness their grandeur. As the aircraft ascends and turns eastward, the spectacle begins almost immediately. To your far left, the first peak to grace your view is Gosaithan, also known as Shisha Pangma, rising to an awe-inspiring height of 26,290 feet (8,013 meters). This majestic mountain sets the tone for an unforgettable aerial journey through the heart of the world’s tallest peaks.
01
Immediately to the right of Gosaithan, you’ll witness the striking silhouette of Dorje Lhakpa, standing proudly at approximately 22,000 feet (7,000 meters). This elegant peak is often described as resembling a figure “8” carved into the snow—its unique, symmetrical form distinguishing it from the surrounding mountains. With its gracefully sloping ridges and dramatic summit, Dorje Lhakpa is not only a climber’s challenge but also a visual highlight of the flight, captivating viewers with its beauty and mystique amid the vast Himalayan skyline.
01
To the right of Dorje Lhakpa rises the impressive Phurbi Chyachu, a towering peak that stands as a guardian over the Kathmandu Valley. Though less known than some of its neighboring giants, Phurbi Chyachu captivates with its rugged beauty and commanding presence. It forms part of the Jugal Himal range and is often seen gleaming under the morning sun, its snow-covered slopes contrasting against the lush hills below. As your flight glides past, this mountain offers a stunning transition from the distant giants of the Himalayas to the peaks that lie closer to Nepal’s cultural heartland.
01
As the plane glides onward, the peaks grow closer, revealing a stunning mountain panorama. Among them stands Choba-Bhamare, the smallest of the range at around 5,993 meters, yet uniquely formidable. Despite its modest height, it remains unclimbed, its steep, rugged face deterring all attempts. This stubborn peak is a silent reminder of the Himalayas’ untamed spirit.
01
Next comes Gauri-Shankar, a mountain as striking in appearance as it is rich in spiritual significance. Revered in Hindu mythology, it is believed to be guarded by Lord Shiva and his consort Gauri. Towering at 7,134 meters, Gauri-Shankar commands awe not only for its beauty but also for its divine association. Despite its prominence, it was only successfully climbed in 1979, adding to its mystique and reverence among mountaineers and devotees alike.
01
As the flight continues, the majestic Melungtse range comes into view, located on the Tibetan side of the border. Rising to an impressive 7,181 meters, Melungtse is known for its sharp ridges and dramatic slopes, making it one of the more formidable peaks in the region. Just beside it lies Chugimago, a lesser-known but strikingly beautiful mountain. Though smaller in comparison, Chugimago stands as a silent challenge to climbers—still unconquered to this day. Its untouched summit and remote location add to its allure, symbolizing the untamed spirit of the Himalayas.
01
As the flight continues deeper into the mountain range, the stunning peaks of Numbur and Karyolung come into view. Numbur, with its distinctive shape, contrasts beautifully against Karyolung’s intensely white snow, gleaming brightly under the rising sun. Soon, Cho-Oyu, the world’s sixth-highest mountain at 27,000 feet (8,201 meters), dominates the landscape. Its towering presence leaves an indelible impression, making this portion of the flight an unforgettable experience as you soar past these majestic peaks.
01
As the flight continues towards the highest peaks, you’ll encounter the towering Gyachungkang, Pumori, and Nuptse, each rising over 22,000 feet (7,000 meters). These mighty giants form a stunning prelude to the ultimate highlight of the flight: Mount Everest. Revered as Sagarmatha in Nepal and Chomolungma in Tibet, Everest stands as the world’s tallest mountain, reaching an awe-inspiring height of 29,021 feet (8,848 meters). Its immense presence, stretching into the sky, leaves travelers in sheer wonder, offering an unmatched view of Earth’s highest point as you soar above the Himalayas.
01
The next majestic peak on the horizon is Mount Everest, the pride of Nepal and Asia, standing as a symbol of natural grandeur and human endurance. While much has been written and spoken about Everest, seeing it up close during a mountain flight is an entirely different experience. As you approach the mountain, its towering presence commands awe and admiration. Despite its overwhelming size, there is a quiet elegance about Everest, a testament to its unmatched status as the highest point on Earth. Its vast, snow-capped slopes, piercing the sky, evoke a sense of reverence and wonder—an awe-inspiring sight that leaves an indelible mark on all who have the privilege of witnessing it firsthand.
01
After soaking in the breathtaking views of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks, the flight will trace its steps back, gradually descending towards Kathmandu. Upon arrival at the airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and ensure a smooth transfer back to your hotel. You’ll have time to relax and enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting off on an exciting day of sightseeing in Kathmandu. Your knowledgeable guide will take you through the city’s rich history, visiting iconic landmarks such as Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and Durbar Square.
